WEBINAR – Telecom Procurement & Contracting: The Basics
This limited attendance seminar series is for newer members to telecom teams who have responsibility for the planning, procurement and/or management of services and vendors. Very few areas are as complex and involve an alphabet soup of terms, services, vendors, and regulations that impact what you buy, how you buy it, who you buy it from and how you negotiate your contracts and manage your suppliers. If you feel like your lack of understanding gives suppliers leverage and makes your job harder to do, then attend this three-part seminar. It is planned so you can join on your lunch hour, ask questions, and get a broad understanding of the landscape.
Pat Gilpatrick (Director at TC2) and Laura McDonald (Partner at LB3) have over 50 years of combined experience in this area and simplify and condense the basics so you can be a strong asset to your company.
Dates and agenda:
- Wednesday, March 24 at 1:00 EDT: Basics for procuring telecom deals (timing, leverage, procurement strategy and evaluation)
- Wednesday, March 31 at 1:00 EDT: Basics for negotiating and understanding telecom contract (structure, commitments, key terms, the role of online terms, regulatory flags, and risk areas)
- Wednesday, April 7 at 1:00 EDT: Understanding the technology and SLAs (service overview, performance agreements)
Each session will be approximately 40 minutes with time included for questions. The sessions will be live, and attendance will be limited to allow for interactions and questions in real time. Best of all, the session is free, but they are limited to enterprise (no vendors). Please register early before the seminars fill.
